Project Terrapin is an organization founded by MATES that aids in conservation and spreading public awareness of the turtle species Northern Diamondback Terrapin (Malaclemys terrapin terrapin). I am one of the three Hatchling Coordinators for Project Terrapin, which means that I supervise the care of and also raise the hatchlings brought back to our school for the head-start program, in which the terrapins are raised in captivity for a year and then released back into the Barnegat Bay.
